Another Access Question

Post by swissbill » Sat Mar 21, 2020 12:15 pm

Anybody know?
Is there still public fishing access to the Musky behind the former Cassia Grill Restaurant (now Willie's Wieners) on US 57?

A friend headed over there yesterday and called to ask the same question. I told him to go in the restaurant and ask and the friend said he would let me know the answer, but never got a call back. So not sure. I can tell you that we have asked the state to stop stocking it because of the signs and because I know for a fact that there is a narrow conservation easement along the river that allows anglers and kayakers access. I was involved at the time with that easement when the land was first preserved by Heritage Conservancy out of PA.

The Wiener Place was closed yesterday, no one there to ask the question.

Just curious: why do you want access to that particular spot on the Musky?

ps I've always been torn between Willie's and Hot Rod's Hot Dogs.

I lived across the street from there for 10 years. It's a good stretch and at times an unbelievable spot for hatches. There were off years too. The landscape has changed literally as well. I have not fished it for two years from over use and moving, but I still recommend the fishing there.
