Was in the Bedminster area for an assignment. Decided to drop into the Passaic River to give my luck a try🤫. Its a very nice river. 🧐's like a put in -take out place. Had a few hits. But no hook ups. Walked from bridge to bridge. & this is what i have to show for it 😉😲

But it's a nice net, that I won't have a heart attack if it's lost. Back to basics and a simpler form of fishing. Received mine yesterday, should have ordered two, just in case. Thanks again. That's a bear crossing area right there BTW. One was hit on the south bounds side a few years ago, and a trooper held up traffic north bound a couple of years ago, so no one would hit a cub in the roadway, don't know if mom was already hit.

I did hear some movements in the woods since it was early am. But wasnt concerned as I was in the water. I figure if a bear is going to chase me :o . I stand a better chance in the water to out run him

I'm sure the temp. would be quite a bit lower a mile or so upstream. That pond 1/2 mile up has to raise the temp quite a bit.

I had a bear cross the river at the old hackettstown swimming hole damn area way too close for either of us. I was standing still watching sulphurs so he was just going about his business. When I looked I jumped and he let the current take him down a but. It wasnt like he was going to touch me, but I don't think I will ever be that close again.
