Against my better judgement decided to fish today. Was not safe to wade but flowing fairly clear, couldn't get across to the opposite bank of where I usually fish, and definitely not conditions for exploring, so did the best I could. Opted for the Tenkara rod and managed two trout on a squirmy variant. Surprisingly I saw quite a few sulphurs coming off the water, but no rising fish.
Anyone else brave the waters today.

I hit a WTS down the road for an hour. Picked one nice little strong brownie and had a couple other hard strikes.

You're not going to see stocked trout rise to duns in high water. They just don't know what food is yet. Even the Beaverkill dry fly fishes lousy in high waters due to the high amount of stocked browns in that river.

May head to the FB tomorrow afternoon for an hour. Hopefully it settles down by then.

Except that we're supposed to get another 1/4" which isn't too much, but the river is already pretty high today even.

Well today didn't happen, this work thing gets in the way! Headed to Philly for an event: Bourbon tasting so I cannot complain
