There is no such thing, so keep diligent by checking them for wear often. Replace as needed. I have lost gear due to failed zingers too many times over the years. Now I basically change them out each season.

I run the zinger's tools first through the plastic clips of a vest or chest pack. That way, if the zinger breaks, the plastic clip catches the tool before it falls into the water. So far, so good.

Buy cheap nippers and forceps. Zingers aren't reliable.

Gear Keep zingers are excellent and they last.

Yeah, I've had Gear Keepers zinger on my wading stick for a couple of years now. Just ordered a smaller version of same for the clipper and knot-tool--maybe forceps. Tired of my little bungee tethers!
