SBR in High Bridge hit 69 today...flows are super low....my trout fishing is done until it rains..on another note. I stood on a bridge a few days ago and watched 100 at least stockies sitting in a pool under the bridge, they were all in a sungle school...a fellow was fishing with a squirmy worm and got a couple. They must have just stocked. Myself and a friend went downstream and fished until dark. There was a good sulphur hatch...

Looks like it could be a real quick end to the spring season. :(

There are some cooler nights predicted over the next 10 days, but no rain that I can see. While everything is still green and corn is coming up, soil seems really dry for mid May. Hopefully the some moisture comes around as it could be a long summer without it.

Agreed , fished Monday night and the water seemed abnormally warm for May 17th . Pack your thermometer

The SBR is worse than the Musky right now. I was on the upper Musky above Point Mountain yesterday and water topped out at 64F. That river has more water in it. We do have cooler days and nights coming next week, but we desperately need rain and there's none in the forecast.

Most streams seem better off than the SBR. I fished it last Thursday and was stunned how low it was compared to the Musky and Rockaway, both of which I fished a few days prior. All the residential construction in that watershed must have really dewatered the river.

I'll check out the Musky if I have time, but everyone that C&R fishes bring your thermometers!!!

I got 64 degrees last night around 6:30, once the sun was off the water for about an hour.

Fish early am if you can, overnight temps look like ok over the next week or so.

Just did a little looking. The Musky is 56% below average flows right now. Temp data is not on-line, but that doesn't seem too promising...A great winter turned into a crappy late spring.

Same guys who fish when the waters over 70°F and don't bring thermometers are the same ones that say , "there's no fish in the Gorge" in September when it's cooler .... I wonder why ?

And just like magic, temps have tumbled back down to safe levels and should remain there at least another week. However, not much in the way of rain in sight anytime soon. Best chance days are only 30-40%.

And just like that. Temps at the SBR were high today. Flows are super low even with the rain today, dropped the temps quick though...Hopefully we get the soaking we need on Friday and it continues rain. Conditions now just plain suck.

Looks like the river got a little bump but is still warm and low. This weekend looks great though with some signficant rain over 3 days and highs in the 50s and 60s. Probably one of the chilliest memorial day weekends that I can remember.

Check the gauge now. Temps in low 50s and river at 600 cfs with more rain on the way. When it rains, it pours as the old adage goes.

Feast or famine it seems. Wonder what the trout think?
Anyone going fishing?

I was out Saturday in the rain, did well. Thinking about going out later this morning, will see, have chores to do now that the rain stopped,
