They were gorging on Sulphur emergers, and any other bug that came into view, aggressive and unwary! This was on the SBR, where? I'm not telling.
I've anecdotally been hearing from many anglers catching both native brookies and wild browns in the upper SBR and Musky. I'm thinking the stocking changes are somewhat that reason if we are seeing an increase.

I guess that could be up for debate?? Some would consider the high bridge falls to be the end of the upper....I personally think clinton falls is the separator, where you get warm water intrusions from spruce run...just an opinion, maybe theres an official answer??

Yup, and that is very normal from the first tributary about 80 yards below Budd Lake outflow down to the Solitude Dam. Some natives and wild browns are even below that dam, but they spawn and bail out in warm water to local tribs. Shannon's private water regularly sees native brookies and it is stocked.
