Cicada Hype?

Post by MickyFinn » Wed Jun 30, 2021 2:20 pm

Neighbor says squirrels and chipmunks are eating them in her backyard. Has anyone experienced anything to support the idea of FISH eating such "filet mignon"? :?:

A new jersey fishing blog was sent to me via Instagram about something eating them at Spruce Run....and my dogs and cats love them.

Haven't seen one yet in N. Somerset County. Where are you?

Yeah, it's weird, I am 5 miles north of Spruce Run and I could hear them over the hill and got a few in the yard, my dogs and cats caught and ate a few, but I really didn't hear them close by...very spotty with these things.

I'm in Hunterdon. Lots of cicada here, but varying with exact location. I've seen the cicada patterns being marketed and wondered if anyone had hit pay-dirt with those big flies? I myself have not seen a fish gulp down such "filet mignon".
