Rancocas creek (again)

So no one is answering in "other fishing" so I'll try here.
Going to be in Medford for a few weeks later this month and into September. Anyone know good access for catfishing, bass, carp? I found a park on Medford where it is a tiny creek. I'm looking for a little bigger water and bigger fish. Lots of private crap down here.

I know of Medford Park, Laurel and Vincentown pond/lake, with public access. F&W has an online interactive map or list, with species list. Atsion Lake in Wharton SF is about a 20 minute drive from Medford; pickerel, bass, perch, sunfish, catfish. Any cranberry bog on state land will have pickerel in it. Have fun, watch the ticks.

Thanks. Atsion lake looks promising. I have already walked Medford Park. Saw a few large carp and 1 good bass. A ton of snakes. But very small creek there. I also found Rancocas State Park where the north and south branch come together. I will check out the other 2 ponds. Appreciate the help!!!

There is a canoe/kayak rental at Atsion Lake, they might be able to suggest other spots.

Those are 2 different cats. One was about 17 inches one was about 10. They are very silver and blue in that creek. Gorgeous compared to the Round Valley amd Delaware cats I usually see. They fight hard as well. I was using artificial blood worms, made for salt water for bait. It is an amazing product for cat and bass fishing. A slowly dissolving scent mixture on mesh.

those are some nice clean cats' right there. I grew up in Arkansas, and Catfish Houses are almost as common down there as BBQ joints. Those two would be awesome deep fried with some hush puppies, cole slaw, and sweet tea.

Checked out Atsion Lake today. Got one small pickerel from shore. Went to the spill way. On the above side something rather large swirled my floating rapala. On the lower side in Mullica creek, I got many smallmouth up to 10 inches amd one more small pickerel.

It is in Medford Park, but the linear park that run the bank down stream from the main park. Across the road by the library. Past the graveyard and the horse farm. Almost to the next bridge and the end of the park. That fish lives in the downed trees and pipe that stick out into the river. I find Kirby's Mill to have better fishing.

Thanks... I retired and no longer go by that area. Perhaps one days I'll explore Kirby Mills or other areas nearby.
