A friend took me golfing on a fish course. BWO were hatching and a size 22 PT soft hackle in the film did the trick.

Fiddler's Elbow CC is my guess. Was there late last week looking at some recent widening of the river following Henri and Ida. May do some more work there as a result.

As in the horse farm below the bridge or on Fiddler's stretch? The horse farm is a mess, and the owner is someone I wouldn't work for. I've dealt with him in the past. He's got the farm up for sale. After paying $2 million for it, he asked over $7 million last year. Now down to $4.9 and falling. It's worth $500,000

No, like right before the bend that goes to the cliff...It is wide slow and shallow with two or three large trees down before the bend and at the bend...didn't appear worth walking all the way to the bridge as the water was low and slow..We stuck to the deeper pools and runs as that is where the fish were rising...I didn't wear a collared shirt, I felt soo out place..;)

Nothing like walking into the Fiddler Elbow GC wearing a stained 'beater

Gotcha. That section is all red shale ledge, so making it deeper comes with a cost of time which we did not have when we restored it initially. Some sections of the river there widened by up to 25'. That's just nuts when the river averages 50' or so in width there.

When I was playing alot of golf and was thinking of joining a club. I did some serious research on this club and was close to joining because the fishing was an added bonus. But stopped playing golf

Yeah, Golf ruins a good day of fishing. The member I went with doesn't play golf either, he enjoys the fishing, the pool and the restaurant and bar... ;)
