May is a magical time to fish in NJ. Anyone who's interested in establishing some GST fishing camaraderie, please arrive at the lower/South KLG lot https://goo.gl/maps/bXRPxQK7YCvLTnLz6 by 9 am Sunday, May 22nd. If you own a bamboo rod, feel free to fish it--that's what I'll be doing. Hope to see you there. Make sure you're licensed to fish in NJ and feel free to bring something to eat for a "shore lunch."

I will mark it down. I plan to be there. I will bring some rods along as well. Tom will be nymphing, so he will be fine with graphite.

I'll go if my wife lets me. usually this wouldn't be an issue but there are extenuating circumstances right now. I will bring 3 boo rods if I can make it. No one is allowed to touch or even look at them... ;) ;) ;) ;) :D

I added to my calendar. I'll try my best to be there, would be nice to meet you all in person.

One concern, doesn't that lot only hold a dozen or so vehicles? Is there alternative parking? I only hit the Gorge during the winter months. Rumor has it if you don't camp out over night in May, good luck finding parking. ;)

It holds a few more than that, they expanding it a fews years back. I think you can get 20-24 in there. Best we can hope for a cool, cloudy and drizzly day. Bad for fair weather dog walkers, perfect for fishing.

Good to hear, haven't been there in a couple of years, and if I recall correctly I parked by the Hoffman bridge (infamous parking spot) and fished into the Gorge.

2 options, park on the high bridge entrance parking lot or on the other end by hoffman x bridge about 1\4 mile on the bend & walk down. Either way your looking @ a 1\2 mile walk to get into prime water

Hi Guys, Hate to ask this but how do you get to the lower parking area as I have only fished the gorge two times and parked in the upper end of the gorge. I will be coming up from Rte.31 onto I think it is called 513. When I get onto 513 or it could be 512. All Iknow is that I get onto 31 off 78 then take first right on to 512 or 513 never really looked at any signs. So if you should give me directions I will try to make it. Bill Vance AKA. Bill the mailman. I will bring my Madison which is 55 years old 71/2 foot

I LOVE 99% of all the dogs I meet :D . If they arent friendly or well trained. I blame the parents of the dogs for not training them to be socialized :o
