brookies
brookies
Woke up this am & decided to try my luck @ some wild brookies. It was a complete success. I was able to nab 8 of them with a few stock rainbows in the mix. Perfect day. Overcast skies & cool weather up on the NW jersey area. Couldnt ask for better conditions.

Re: brookies
When it comes to native brookes, wood is good! Nice catch and report. Seems since the no-kill was established on the Flatbrook that more brook trout have been caught up there the last couple of years.

I caught a couple last week on the lower section, assuming by upper you were above the cement bridge, up near the stone bridge.Troutman wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 10:09 amyes. it has a nice sustainable population.Rusty Spinner wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 9:21 amWhen it comes to native brookes, wood is good! Hopefully they are making a comeback throughout the habitable sections of the entire FB system.
