A huge wild brown...

Stick.

Today I fished Jackson Brook in Morris County, which the State listed (in 2014) as holding wild browns. It is very picturesque once you get upstream of the picnic area, but woefully empty of trout--or any fish, for that matter. A nice place to hike but that's about it.

I've fished it three times, no fish, however one trip I did come across a nine inch dead brown in the stream so there must be some in there.

That park gets an insane amount of traffic. The creek is pretty much pounded daily by hikers, dogs, and rock throwing kids. All of which I'm sure make the fish ultra spooky.

In 2014 it had decent shocking numbers. I have heard bed reports on this stream forever, I think it is probably pounded. It was most likely the source of the wild browns in the Rockaway in Dover.
