Started my path to a new method of fishing beginning of this year. Slowly perfecting technique & presentations. Its a pretty awesome way to fish. You can use all kinds of lures & even wet flies ( or nymphing in fly mans term  ). caught many when trout wasnt interested in anything else ;) . So who else here uses this method ?

Nope, not for me. I saw a couple of guys on the Flatbrook and Musky center pin fishing. Might as well just use spinning gear unless you're on the really big salmon rivers.

No thanks. I was next to one of these things once. he thought the whole river was his, drifting many many yards in front of me and others....

Not I, never seen anyone do it live but from all accounts it doesn't look like my jam. That said, have fun, get out, and catch fish.

Not me, saw too many guys doing this while steelhead fishing and was completely turned off to it. Pinning to get a 100 yard drift while others are trying to fish just seems rude to me. The pinners didn't seem to care if you were there fly fishing or spin fishing below them.

Personally, I could care less how others fish 1) so long as it's legal and 2) so long as it's not over the top of where I'm fishing. As soon as a pinner starts to drift over where I'm fishing, I reach for this and force him to lose some line....

big rivers with smalls rapids & current is preferred for me. It makes the lure your using underneath the float more realistic imo. I cant wait to try this on a remote stretch of the salmon river for sure

thats just no fishing etiquette PERIOD from those fisherman. I generally dont let the float downstream within 40 feet from the next guy what ever method he is fishing. I have practiced this with all types of fishing

no fishing etiquette from those guys period  . me personally I cant see pass 60 feet. So thats as far as my float will go  . & my float wont go within 40 feet of the next guy down stream from me. I would hope & expect the same from another angler-fisherman....

You're clearly expecting too much, especially in the great state of ME-Jersey
