Two West Branch of the Ausable River dams are in the process of being removed. The only one left will be the one in Wilmington, but that is being updated again to improve flows.

True enough, although there is a brand new RT86 bridge. Just need to convince those with Lake Everest waterfront they don't need a lake there. The Ausable River Assoc had a drone do a flyover with the low water levels due to the dam work going on, good stuff, its on the Assoc FB page, end of July. We'll be up there last week of Sept. Youngest son will be trying, first time since his accident.

The West Branch now runs free.

From the Ausable River Association. They have now set their sites on the East Branch, long overdue for some restoration.

"The West Branch Ausable River runs free! Over the past three weeks since our last video, Reale Construction has slowly removed sediment trapped by the former impoundment. The deep Rome chasm remains. The river will slowly but efficiently sort the sediment in the chasm over the next 1-3 years with the next few months being most dramatic. This video captures 90% of the former impoundment. The Rome Dam once stood at the downstream end where the last large boulders sit just before the pool."
