Took a quick trip up to Hancock NY after I fished the Upper Delaware West Branch in Deposit today. Scored some browns. Nothing to brag about. Average size was between 14-18 inch's. The water had a green stain to it today. Looked like peas soup. So I traveled into Hancock as the water temps has cooled down on the main stem & the east branch. caught this Lovely McCloud as the locals call it up there aka rainbow . It so nice to see 1 of these with full fins. This big gurl hit my lure like a freight train stuck on full throttle going down hill

Nice bow. McCloud refers to the strain of rainbow as they are from the McCloud River in California originally and are more pure than the rainbows in the McCloud River today after CA stocked over their strains. The green you saw is the last of the bottom release water after a long, hot summer coming out of the Cannonsville dam on the West Branch above Deposit.
