Five days on the upper Delaware coming up
My 20th Trout Louts trip with a great group of guys and gals. We will be at the Dreamcatcher Lodge on the banks of the West Branch through the Holiday weekend, fishing dry flies, telling lies, and drinking fine whiskey while sharing lots of laughs. Then it's full on field season where I will have little or no time to hunt or fish this year. So the upcoming battery recharge is very much looked forward to. I'll post pix of some of the action. Hard to say what may hatch while we are there, but it's near enough Bug Week for something to be coming off most days.

I'm driving an F-150 Super Crew cab these days, so plenty of room. Can you be here by 9am tomorrow? Oh yeah, and bring the booze.......for 16. And nothing under $60/bottle or risk facing angry LoutsBiggerThomas wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 9:21 amSorry, but I forgot: what time did you say to be there?Rusty Spinner wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 8:33 amWe will be at the Dreamcatcher Lodge on the banks of the West Branch through the Holiday weekend, fishing dry flies, telling lies, and drinking fine whiskey while sharing lots of laughs.

I'll prob spend a few evenings on the b kill as the days and evenings will be cool, keeping the water temps down ....however I almost always spend more time on the mainstem....good luck to you as well!!!Rusty Spinner wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 12:49 pmHave a great trip! Re: Five days on the upper Delaware coming up
Temps for both air and water continue to drop up there. The B-kill is the "worst", but has 63 degree water. The West at Hale Eddy is a chilly 48F. Rain is coming along with mostly cooler temps day and night. Good luck up there!Fishybig wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 1:57 pmI'll prob spend a few evenings on the b kill as the days and evenings will be cool, keeping the water temps down ....however I almost always spend more time on the mainstem....good luck to you as well!!!Rusty Spinner wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 12:49 pmHave a great trip! How did everyone who made it up do?
As for myself stayed local and did well with stocked Rainbows and wild Brook Trout. Will be my turn to head up in a couple of weeks.
