Esopus Creek?

Post by dbarr15 » Sat Jul 09, 2022 12:56 pm

Hi all, i will be up in that area next week and would like to fish the Esopus. Can you recommend a good fly shop and/or a few good starting points? Don't want to burn anyone's spot, just a point to park, walk in and get started.
Thanks
Doug

Ok, I'm back. Had to scope out a few spots on my own. Lots of small rainbows and hooked up to this 18" brown in a deep hole. Espous Creek, I'll be back!

While I've never fished it myself, the Esopus is well known for its numerous, but small rainbows. Looks like a good trip.
