Great to catch a brookie!
Didnt think they stocked them in there this year but there could always be one or two mixed in on the truck
Would have been from the first stocking of the year.

We did good on McMichaels when we went up for our April Trip
Our PA trip over all was epic lots and lots of miles covered and lots of fish caught

I really enjoy the delay harvest area the most. Concentrated with quality fish. From end to end. The broadhead is larger water that I need to explore more.troutfishing4life wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 8:21 amWe did good on McMichaels when we went up for our April Trip

We did really good on the lower part.
We had 7 nice fish between 15 and 20 inches the one afternoon my buddy and I fished it
My favorite river is still the Bushkill even after exploring alot of the northern part of the state

I have a real soft spot for it as well. There are better Pocono streams but that one just seems to check a lot of the boxes as far as ascetics for me. The pine trees, the cabins, the tannic water...troutfishing4life wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 10:07 am

I'll give you a bad thing.....it's slippery as all #$&k, bring a wading staff and studded felts. When I was in high school my cousin tore up his knee there. Wouldn't go back there with me again. I bent a brand new Folstaff there as well but it was the old thin tube model.Troutman wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 1:01 pmgonna have to explore the bushkill as well. Re: My 1st brookie in about 10 years
Its honestly one of my favorite rivers to fish. Only thing is I have never really gotten a big fish out of it
My biggest fish was probably opening day 2009 and i got a 17 inch brook trout
