upper delaware west branch 5-14-23

Post by Troutman » Sun May 14, 2023 6:59 pm

water was just rite. about 900cfs. no organic matter floating from the bottom release dam. only 1 thing that was wrong. I got the only skunk for the whole day. Not even a tap :o  . Ask some of the float guys how they did. They said it was slow to no action also  . Some of the locals said that the water was ragging up there last week. In the 4000cfs range :o . I can see there was alot of debris kicked around.

Sorry to hear about the lack of action. Sometimes you just have to offer up time and effort to the fish gods for future rewards.

Oh Im not complaining @ all. It was still a nice day to be out for sure. I was surprised that the fish wasnt cooperating on any of the fishing platforms. I was watching a fly guy on a float boat sit in 1 spot. tossing away into a pocket with 0 results. then another take a shot. zero. Guess the fish didnt have their feed bag on

I will be up for a week later in May and into early June myself. This is the latest I have ever gone since college without fishing up there, but the flows just dropped to wadeable levels in the last few days.
