I am new to fishing for Smallies...It has been really fun so far. I have mainly been hitting spots on the Raritan. Any other rivers/lakes (Not RV or SR!) in Northern/Central NJ good for this time of year that people like? I heard the Paulins Kill is pretty good for them.
These spots were found with some pretty minimal research (G00GLE) ...I left I few landmarks in there
I have not seen anyone else out fishing these spots but I know people do...The Raritan is such a gem.

I have been wanting to hit the Raritan myself but just haven't had the time. Looks like you had some great success, small mouth on a fly rod are so much fun.
I'm going to have to make it a point to get out there soon.
