Ice fishing season recap

Post by troutfishing4life » Tue Mar 01, 2022 5:37 pm

How was everyone's ice fishing season?

I was happy to get out 3 times this year and use all the gear I brought last year and also brought the power auger attachment for a drill this season. Caught most my fish on tip ups but did catch 3 nice crappie jigging this year.

Fish species caught were: Yellow Perch, Pickerel, Large Mouth Bass and Crappie's

Special catch was a nice 14 inch yellow perch

Interesting, how did the auger/cordless drill combo work for you on 6"+ of ice.

The auger cordless drill combo is a game changer its great. It worked fantastic I would say both times we used it we had between 8 to 10 inches of ice on the lakes and 1 battery was probably good for close to 20 holes.

What brand/size cordless drill did you use?
