Politicians ignoring science is not just limited to our current governor, nor is it isolated to bear hunting. There is a whole climate of topics that politicians are ignoring science while making policies and laws. And it is not just ignoring the science, some politicians embrace the ignorance and display the ignorance proudly. Remember: “I am not a scientist...”
Tim, we were all wondering how long it would take you to get to your rants about climate change. Who had the over?
The lawsuit was filed a few weeks ago and should be heard in early November last I heard. Doesn't look good for Bucky the Beaver and his ilk. The funniest thing is that this past week's fall archery and muzzleloader season did extremely well when you consider that nearly half our bear harvests over the years came from public, state-owned lands that are currently closed to bear hunting. I only got out one half day and didn't see any bears (passed on a small buck), but it tells you that bears remain everywhere and need to be hunted to keep their numbers in check and to control the problem bears (dumpster divers, chicken coop raiders, bee hive killers, etc.). Hopefully the state lands ban will be lifted by the December gun season via the lawsuit.

Rusty, he's not wrong. Politicians ignore science when it suits their agenda. Hell, pretty much everyone ignores science when it is counter to what they believe. Ya, I know climate change, blah, blah. However, that is not the only area where people ignore the current science. Flat earthers are a good example, as well as faked moon landing, and a whole host of other subjects.

Everyone ignores science when it doesn't fit their agenda. All of us are guilty of this at times in our lives. I was just waiting for Tim to show his true colors.

Lest we forget the infamous Brad Campbell and his classic statement, "Politics trumps science EVERY time."

Have you ever read any of the anti-hunting Facebook pages (especially the ones about bears)?
That isn't politics, it has all the trappings of especially intolerant religion.
If they could get their way, there would be an inquisition, burning at the stake, torture, stoning, beheadings, and especially castration.
If you go from group to group, the same names keep showing up. These appear to be the clergy.
