Morris County Park Commission is proposing to dispose of 6.5+/- of undeveloped parkland. This parkland is right along the Whippany River in Hanover Township south of Rte 10 just off Rte 511 (Parsippany Rd.). Affordable housing would be built on the site. A hearing is scheduled in January.

I'm always initially leery at land swaps when it comes to lands already in preservation. That said, a buddy is a high-up with Morris County Parks and I just reached out to him for more info although he's moving into a new home right now.

I hate to see it when undeveloped land bordering any sort of water gets slated for development.
