Rabbit fur

Post by PortMurrayAng » Sun Jul 22, 2018 3:11 pm

My cousin, for my birthday, got me some rabbit pelts: "craft grade rabbit pelts."

While I appreciate the gift I am wondering if this fur can be used for dubbing or blending dub. It is so soft and silky, its more likely best used in strips for zonkers or streamers.

I'll try to post pics, but they're full on pelts, not a mask or feet.

Can I use soft, silky rabbit fur for blending dubbing?

Sure, just run it through a coffee blender to chop it finer for dubbing. And remember to cut strips either straight down the hide (regular) or straight across the hide (cross cut). It depends on how you use strips as to how to cut them.
