How are the temps

Anyone been out and fishing lately. Curious how the water temps have been and if there are any bugs out

I've been working my butt off in CT and PA, so no fishing for me other than bass on a pond in PA with deer hair poppers. We are finally getting some much needed rains which will help. I can only tell you that the West Branch Lackawaxen River ran between 60F to 67F last week and the week before....

You working at the Creamton club waters?

Yes, we finished that project last Thursday, a week ago today. It came out great. We worked on their privately owned water, not any of their leased waters. They had me up last Saturday for a ribbon cutting ceremony.

I should probably add that I regularly took water temps while on that job and they were nearly always right around 60F in the morning and maxed out at 67F in the late afternoons, and water was very low nearly every day. Historically low, in fact.

Nice looking restoration. I talked them a few years ago about joining but it's so damn far from Morris Cty, NJ that I couldn't see it feasible given my time schedule.

I'm assuming with summertime temps in that range they have wild fish.

Wild brookies and browns, yes. Down lower on the mainstem Lackawaxen, they have mostly wild browns and stocked rainbows I believe. That is their leased water. They have a lot of NJ members. I also live in Morris County, and it takes me about 1 hour and 40 minutes to drive there. They also have plans to build 3-4 cabins on this stretch on one of their properties where we did work. We built them a very nice, gravel driveway under our PennDOT permits for just that at what they would call Site 4.
