Wild browns - 12/15/18

Post by NJAngler » Sat Dec 15, 2018 3:51 pm

Fished a stream today for about 90 minutes. Water was chilly as expected but wild browns came to hand fairly often. Landed 18 up to 14". Nice to fish a stream where I didn't have to go under and over 8000 downed trees.

Good to hear! I've gotten out a couple over the past 2 weeks and landed a few very nice wild browns in my local WTS. The good water levels are really helping things. No pics tho.

Great looking browns.

Some of the WTS I fish have the same issue with trees being down. I think it gives great protection for the trout, but I'm concerned with the increasing bank erosion.

I can see the pictures in the link now. And yea that is a lot of trees down! Maybe consider bringing the chainsaw instead of the rod one day :)

Nice browns too
