I wear a vest that contains just about everything related to fly fishing that I've accumulated over the past 60 plus years and it ways a ton but I'm not about to change at this point.
pick up a wicker creel to hold your trout and you'd be right "up there" with Dave ;)

I wear a vest when fly fishing but carry a creel when spin fishing. Old habits die hard.
OMG... a creel... you are OLD AS DIRT Dave

A wicker creel brings back my oldest memories of fishing as my dad used one and would come home after opening day with his trout
LOL! Yeah, I am getting up there Rob, but I was referring to an old school 'Arctic Creel' not the wicker type. I need plenty of room for all my spinners, lures, salmon eggs, hemostats, old school Mustad 9260-D hooks, split shots, etc etc. BTW those damn hooks are getting harder and harder to find! I only have 2 online sources for them now, use to be able to pick them up in most bait & tackle shops.
I find getting specific types of hooks is becoming a pain in the butt. I give up and just use what I have after a while (still have enough to open a small tackle shop, even a few years after reining in an 18 year spending spree, but I digress)

Ah, "Arctic Creel"... I had one of those which disintegrated for some reason. Maybe leaving it in 105degree cars too many times after fishing might have done it in... dunno. I was fishing over a 100 times a year there for a stretch (child's play for some here, I know, but a huge difference from my current schedule)

ok, then, not a wicker creel. Guess that distinction belongs to JohnW HAHAHAHA

Always wanted to hang a wicker creel in my office, but they get too much $$ for old ones these days.

I did have a wicker creel at one point along with a metal worm container that strapped on my belt. I I even had a metal telescoping fly rod.

I have 2 wicker creels. One was my great gandfathers and one was my grandfathers... I store things in them as they fit I to the corner of a closet well.

I have a 35+ year old Leonard Shortie vest that I always use. Some of the pockets are held together on the inside with duct tape but when I am fly fishing it is part of my skin. I carry many hundreds of flies but they are light and not bulky at all. I know where everything is, including types of flies, tippet material, nippers, etc. and would not be without it.

I still have a clip on metal worm container, think I got rid of the salmon-egg-jar-belt-holder though.
Never got my dad's wicker creel, I think my brother nabbed that or my Mom threw it out.

Nothing has hurt fishing license sales more than those Dog Shit reels ..... I'd give up fishing if that's all I had ... I'm sure Zebco is working with some video game lobby .
