As the owner of a fishing forum I should get my ass out there and fish more often but I haven't been out as much as I should. I finally went out and got my first trout of 2019, a nice wild brown from a really small stream that's rather local to me now. In October we moved closer to trout country so I will definitely take advantage of being under 30 mins to a bunch of WTS and other good water.
The good trout came out of nice deep plunge pool with good current. Got him on a trout magnet (for shame!!!). I caught a few others upstream from the first but they we all small around 5-6". I had yesterday off so I started off with some fishing and then went to play golf...... Roast away!!

As the owner of a fishing forum, you should be able to orient your photos correctly. How many IPAs did you have yesterday?

Very nice fish! I also got out for the first time yesterday, and only managed one stockie on a streamer on the SB. I was blind casting a caddis fly most of the day, which wasn't too smart since I didn't see any fish rising. Sporadic caddis we're on the water, and I did see some decent size mayflies around the riffles but no one looking up.
