Cold Morning, Icy Guides, Hungry Trout
I got out Sunday morning and went to one of my favorite rivers. Air temp was only 26 when I hit the water (forgot my thermometer so not sure what the water temp was) and the guides on my rod iced up for the first few hours. River flow was good but I was surprised to still see so many leaves in the water, my leaf set was on point!
Ended up catching a bunch of browns and rainbows.
Here are a few photos...

Hard to tell, the second photo you will notice that the pelvic fins look a little worn down. Strange thing is that usually whenever I catch browns the aggressively strike even in the cold but this time the browns were much more subtle strikes.

Well I would say the first and last picture definitely look wild , just from the spot pattern . As far as subtle takes , it's cold , post spawn maybe , lots of factors.njcatchrelease wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 10:34 amHard to tell, the second photo you will notice that the pelvic fins look a little worn down. Re: Cold Morning, Icy Guides, Hungry Trout
nice trout-wild or clubfish?
Re: Cold Morning, Icy Guides, Hungry Trout
Nice trout regardless. The first pic looks to be wild. Last pic looks for sure wild. Second pic and Rainbow stocked fish. I assume somewhere on the SBR.

Not sure if the browns are wild or not, but all I know is they were fun to catch!
