BiggerThomas Jr. #1--Wild Brown Trout

Post by BiggerThomas » Wed Mar 18, 2020 5:23 pm

After "school" today I took BiggerThomas Jr. #1 to a wts near our house. We rigged up the bamboo (Bernie Elsner 7 footer) with an EHC #14. We didn't have waders so we "rock waded" out to a pool that looked promising.

After a few casts, we landed this beauty. The little brown is almost smaller than the EHC, but it made a big impression!

I was glad to see some fish in this stream, as the last few times I fished it (over the last two years) produced no fish.

Such an improvement in handling of trout, how far BT Jr. has come from the master of yesteryear.

That's too funny. I still cringe looking at that gill grab!
