Bushkill fish kill...
Pretty sad and just so stupid. You don't have any sort of contingency plan for a power outage????

Re: Bushkill fish kill...
They say , that they have back up generators but not diesel fueled . Not sure how or why this problem can't be resolved .
Re: Bushkill fish kill...
No excuse as it's not the first time it's happened
Re: Bushkill fish kill...
How can the flow of the river be dependent on pumps from a concrete factory?? How is that allowed?

Re: Bushkill fish kill...
It happened long ago when the original quarry owner punched through the limestone aquifer, diverting all the water that would be in the river into a sinkhole. That is the water that is pumped back into the river 24/7. PA is a joke when it comes to this stuff. In NJ, a company that de-watered a trout stream would be punished severely and they would have to have backup diesel generators that kick on automatically to keep their pump(s) running after that first experience. This has happened before and likely will again.....

Yes it did, and still no outrage by PA DEP. It's amazing to me how little PA cares about its trout waters.
