Good guess but no....it starts at Horton bridge which has horton brook flowing in on the downstream side and goes down to the 17 overpass or just above sunoco pool....Troutman wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 11:44 pmI think thats the tail end of the beaverkill that dumps into the east branch of the delaware that has that thermal refuge. its closed to fishing during the summer months. This would be a very good place for a thermal refuge as the catch and kill guys are there all summer finding easy targets

That is the sections I fished underneath that bridge. It has a parking lot adjacent to it. go over the bridge & the parking lot is immediately to the left. The suncoco gas station is sitting @ the end of the ramp from RT 17E. The river has a left hand hook turn @ that point. Perhaps I just named it wrong. I really didnt care for that section of the river to much. I stopped on the way traveling back home just to kill sometimes .Fishybig wrote: ↑Wed Jul 15, 2020 6:43 amGood guess but no....it starts at Horton bridge which has horton brook flowing in on the downstream side and goes down to the 17 overpass or just above sunoco pool....Troutman wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 11:44 pmI think thats the tail end of the beaverkill that dumps into the east branch of the delaware that has that thermal refuge. its closed to fishing during the summer months. Roscoe would be the best bet for the chain gang to catch fish in that area. They stock that area HEAVY....

The sunoco next to riverside is on the beaverkill.... the sunoco with a better selection next to nothing is on the lower east just below end of beaverkill....the next one is in Hancock....Troutman wrote: ↑Wed Jul 15, 2020 8:53 pmIs that where the sunoco gas station is also ? it has a parking area for fishing ?Fishybig wrote: ↑Wed Jul 15, 2020 8:05 pmThat sunoco is adjacent to jaws.....where the east and beaverkill meat to form the lower eastTroutman wrote: ↑Wed Jul 15, 2020 7:05 pm

Re: WMA closings
You guys are talking about two different Sunoco stations....route 30 at the Fish's Eddy exit is the East Branch and the one below Horton is on the Beaverkill.

The one near Jaws with the limited selection makes great egg sandwiches. My hunting club house is in East Branch and i have relied on them for sustenance. Beaver kill campground restaurant down the road has fantastic burgers.
Re: WMA closings
Your rite Rusty. I was referring to the sunoco @ fish's eddy. I think the other sunoco is near the town of the roscoe exitRusty Spinner wrote: ↑Thu Jul 16, 2020 10:00 amYou guys are talking about two different Sunoco stations....route 30 at the Fish's Eddy exit is the East Branch and the one below Horton is on the Beaverkill.

There is no sunoco at fishes eddy.....the one on the beaverkill is at the bottom of the horton exit if traveling east....the other is further down river at jaws where beaverkill and east branch meet to form the lower east.....
Have you been fishing up there fer a while? doesn't seem so

Re: WMA closings
Correct and my bad. I meant at route 30 which is East Branch, not Fishs Eddy.Fishybig wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 8:06 amTroutman wrote: ↑Thu Jul 16, 2020 5:59 pmYour rite Rusty. Re: WMA closings
The State sent out an e-mail today that WMA's will start reopening today although they cautioned that it may take several days as there needs to be inspections and removal of barriers. We can now go trout fishing again in WMA's except the temps. are in the 90's and the trout streams unfishable.
