How has the KLG been recently?
Has anyone been fishing the KLG recently? If so, I'm wondering how you've been doing.

Agree, stopped going there a long time ago, well I may go once in the middle of Winter. It is a nice location for pocket water fishing. I would assume right now the water is very low as are all our streams, however there should be stocked trout. This coming rain will help, however we need a lot more spread out throughout the Fall and Winter months.Bubba Zinetti wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 9:30 amTo quote Yogi Berra " Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded"

These 2-3 inches of steady soaking rain should be helpful for spawning purposes.

Re: How has the KLG been recently?
While I am not sure about the KLG, many anglers have been shocked to learn that due to Covid, uber popular spots like Point Mountain TCA were not stocked this year. But only because it is typically stocked with TU volunteers working with Hunterdon Parks employees to haul them through the woods in a side by side quad. Sure, some of the fish dumped off the Penwell Rd. or Point Mountain Rd. bridges will find their way into that water, but that's nothing like our normal stocking. Same for Faber Road which is Division owned off Penwell Road that our transfer truck hits each week during spring. Not this year. I'm not convinced the KLG was fully stocked, and it hit 80 degrees F this summer and we saw fish dying for a few days in Solitude Club below the Gorge.

Yeah, what he said. Only sunnies and suckers down there...
Re: How has the KLG been recently?
No wonder I can't seem to find a fish there. I'll blame COVID rather than my angling skills.

Finally found a few yesterday.
