First trip of new year

Post by SBRtool » Mon Jan 04, 2021 2:57 pm

Explored some new water Sunday in what was less than ideal conditions with it being drizzling and 35 degrees but had a chance to get out so didn't wanna pass it up. Figured I wouldn't last long with the cold and didn't have high expectations but once I hooked one I warmed right up. To me, there's nothing more fun than exploring new water, especially ones that are sorta off the beaten path and require a decent amount of walking. Ended up getting 3 which for me was a homerun on a day like Sunday.

Nice job! I hit a small stream Sunday but only had 1 hook up and lost that one when it got into a log jam. I did manage to hook just about every over hanging tree on the river!

Nice pics, glad you caught some. I was out Saturday on one of the few rivers where flow wasn't way to high. Managed to stick one but didn't land it.

Agreed. May we never meet on a streamside path!

Yeah, isn't exploring what it's all about? Fishing, gambling, or prospecting for gold--hoping to find that mother-lode. Nice photos! Keep at it! :D
