Re: Fly fishing show??
I got an email from Robert Bolt (bamboo rod maker) that him and Marc Aroner were not attending as originally planned. I don't know Marc, but Bob is in his 60's and i have to assume that is why. Will there be a mask requirement, i was thinking about going but i am not wearing a mask all day.

I am sitting in the Native Fish Coalition booth all day Saturday, but have yet to hear if there are any caveats regarding masks. I will not sit in a booth all day wearing a mask. Can't tell you how much I hate and avoid wearing them. Doctor visits only these days.joe_panella wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 1:21 pmI got an email from Robert Bolt (bamboo rod maker) that him and Marc Aroner were not attending as originally planned. I've seen nothing to say it is being cancelled for this year. If you haven't gotten Covid yet, this is your chance!!!

I'm going to pass this year. Don't need anything, and I never found any true bargains there either over the years.
From what I saw in the 2022 vendors list, is many of the manufacturers will not be attending. I assume they are relying on their retailers to represent their products.
With regard to the storm, to early to tell. Thursday should know if it's a big storm or a bust and who will be impacted.

I heard a lot less vendors , but same fee to get in the door ... How does that work ??? Supply Chain ? Inflation ??? Or my customers aren't that important .

Put yourself in the owner's shoes. They had zero income last year and reduced income this year. What appeared to be a solid business model isn't when a pandemic hits. He's just trying to survive and he has to pay the Edison center for leasing the building.

When the pickle guy shows up it's the kiss of death, just like the Outdoor show in Edison.
