Got this guy and a couple more like him. As I often do when away from my home turf, spent as much time checking out wildflowers as chasing fish. Sacrilege, I know!

Indeed. It was from a little tributary of a larger stream in Sussex county. Took it on a hair wing royal coachman, of all things. These days I'm all about using flies I can actually still see, rather than hatch-matching. Tying flies smaller than a 16 is also an increasing challange. At least I'm still out there!
