Re: musky restoration

My firm will be invited to bid on this. It is disappointing to me that no actual river restoration work will happen. The plan for the river is to simply remove the old and dangerous concrete diving platform in the river in Hackettstown's park. No in-stream habitat restoration. well that sucks. the ...

Up in the ADK's some landowners stretched wire with a sign saying no trespassing across waters passing thru their property to keep canoer's/kayaker's out. Lots of legal battles fought and still going on.

If your doing drift boats. there are 2 spots I do on the PA side. 1 is on the west branch still . its about 2 miles up from the town of Hancock . the other is on the main stem about 2 miles down stream . Re: West Branch Upper Delaware Wild Browns

The other issue is with the former Hale Eddy boat ramp. I haven't floated down the WB in years because of this. As someone with a drift boat, I'd fish the Main from April until usually the first week in June or whenever it got too hot. Then I'd move to the WB. I'd normally put the boat in at Styles...

Re: West Branch Upper Delaware Wild Browns

I was talking to a guide and good friend that lives on the lower WBD just yesterday after I posted last. He agreed that the intense pressure is changing trout behavior, and even during hatches, we are seeing far fewer trout rise to flies. I watched in horror last late April and early May when I spe...

Re: It took me 48 years to get this

Nice! The Musky also has a few that either come in from the Delaware or wash over the Lake Hopatcong dam some years. They aren't much when it comes to a fight, but they make up for it on the table IMO. Very tasty fish! Yep. It came in like a wet rag. no fight. I was told it taste like lobster ??? I...
