Re: Hoffman's Crossing Bridge
This property is only valued at $10,400 and annual taxes a measly $247/year. Shouldn't be too hard to purchase and allow public access. Hmmmm, investment opportunity, buy the parcel and put in a pay to park system. :) This ain't Montana, and that isn't $3 bridge. ;) I'll tell you what invest in a S...

Re: Fly fishing show??
I heard a lot less vendors , but same fee to get in the door ... How does that work ??? Supply Chain ? Inflation ??? Or my customers aren't that important . Put yourself in the owner's shoes. They had zero income last year and reduced income this year. What appeared to be a solid business model isn...

Never used one but the graphite rod itself probably comes from the same Korean Factory as many others.

Re: Tippet
I don't use either , but id say the difference is like playing 9 ball and Pool . You want alot of S in the tippet after you shock the leader ala George Harvey , then orvis is your brand . You want something a little stiffer that's gonna turn over no issues , your a Rio guy .
Personal Taste .

Re: It's warm.
Same guys who fish when the waters over 70°F and don't bring thermometers are the same ones that say , "there's no fish in the Gorge" in September when it's cooler .... I wonder why ?

Re: Quick trip
I fish that stretch a decent bit since I moved to that area 5 years ago and a week ago I also got a wild brookie there. First one I've ever caught in that stretch so figured that was good to see. Its amazing-the brookie was the exact same size (about 6 inches) in the exact same place in the exact s...

Re: Cicadas--the 'filet mignon' for fish?
Problem with the cicadas is guys get hyped up , tie them up huge and when and IF , I SAID IF , they get a trout to eat them ,the hook up rate is low cause the trout wasn't big enough to take in a big ole hard foam fly . That said show me a bass pond or a carp pond with cicadas that's the targets I w...

Re: SBR 4-29
While 3 miles really isn't alot for a trout to travel , I highly doubt those stocked bows made up theyer mind to go upstream that far . Looks more like someone made a boo boo.. ..OR someone purposefully put them theyer for him or herself .. Wouldn't be the first time someone greased a hatchery truck...

I guess personal preference does play a part , but I fish weekly and the ultra light simms paired with rock treads have been pretty good so far . Two seasons they have been pretty good.

Re: Net Rig
I keep it ultra simple: I don't use a net. Translation to English: "I never catch big fish, so I don't need a net". I don't know if this will vindicate me or land me in even more trouble! Rarely have I seen anyone put a rainbow trout in a cobra clutch ala Sgt Slaughter. Did the trout su...
