Hey all:

Been a while for me, both on the board and trout fishing. Down here in Dixie, we only have trout stocked in ponds, and the rainbows are kind of shell shocked first by being in the muddy waters and then from avoiding cormorants. A few get caught, virtually none by fly (certainly not by me, though I’ve tried)

Busy with grandkids when I do get out it’s pond fishing and out on a small boat in back bays, where I’m the mate trying to keep them untangled and on fish LOL. I do get out some on my own but it’s bait about 80% of the time, either warm water or salt.

Thought I’d jump in here to say hi, and see what’s going on. Last Flyfishing trout trip was to the Toms River last year with some local club members and we had a blast.
